Add a title to your post. Add content to your post by adding blocks. The default block type is a paragraph block, which you can start using just by typing where it says \u201cStart writing or type \/ to choose a block\u201d or by pasting in text from Microsoft Word or another program. When you start writing, a block toolbar with formatting options will appear. If you want to format your text, highlight the text that you want to change and click the appropriate button from the formatting toolbar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"344\" width=\"1024\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unewhavendh.org\/openlab-help\/files\/2022\/05\/Writing_Post_4-1024x344.png?resize=1024%2C344&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-244\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To add another type of block, you can search for other block types by typing a forward slash followed by the block name, for example: \u201c\/image\u201d or \u201c\/heading\u201d. Then, choose the type of block you want to use. Please note that this only works if you have no other text in the block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"781\" height=\"584\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/openlab.sps.cuny.edu\/help-documentation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2024\/03\/WorkingWithBlocks5.gif?resize=781%2C584&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-159\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also add a block by clicking on the\u00a0<strong>Add block button\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014 the\u00a0<strong>black \u2018+\u2019 button<\/strong>\u00a0on the right side of any empty block or the<strong> \u2018+\u2019 button<\/strong>\u00a0in the upper left corner of the editor. You can include images and documents in your post by choosing the\u00a0<strong>Image\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0<strong>File\u00a0<\/strong>icons in the block editor library box.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. To the right of the post editor is the\u00a0<strong>Publish<\/strong>\u00a0button. When you\u2019re ready for your post to be published on the site\u2019s home page, click\u00a0<strong>Publish<\/strong>. You\u2019re done! You can now view your post on the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. You can also <strong>\u201cstick\u201d your post to the top of this site<\/strong>. This will allow your post to remain at the top of the site even after other posts are published. To make a post sticky, check the box, \u201c<strong>Stick to the top of the blog.<\/strong>\u201d Once you publish your post, it will be fixed to the top of the page.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. You can also change the privacy settings for a single post in the Visibility section.\u00a0 There are three options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Public<\/strong>&nbsp;is the default.
