Its goals are to support teaching and learning, enable connection, and strengthen the life of the college community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The OpenLab allows its members a look at what\u2019s going on around SPS.&nbsp; It gives students a&nbsp; way to search for and join physical and virtual clubs and other groups.&nbsp; It gives faculty, staff, and students a space for creating and searching for a wide range of different resources across campus.&nbsp; By creating an online community campus space to extend the virtual nature of our population, the OpenLab is growing and fostering community across SPS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can you use it for?\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/openlab.sps.cuny.edu\/groups\/type\/project\">Campus Resources<\/a>: Create, browse, or join a campus resource, used for a wide range of activities such as committees, grant-funded initiatives, departmental working groups, student research projects, and more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/openlab.sps.cuny.edu\/groups\/type\/club\/\">Student Organizations<\/a>: The OpenLab also supports student organizations, which can be officially chartered or unofficial groups based on shared interests.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/openlab.citytech.cuny.edu\/portfolios\/\">Portfolios<\/a>: Anyone\u2013students, faculty, and staff\u2013can create a portfolio to showcase their work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/openlab.sps.cuny.edu\/members\/\">Community<\/a>: You can join just to meet members, communicate with colleagues, and make friends.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s how to <a href=\"https:\/\/openlab.sps.cuny.edu\/help-documentation\/category\/get-started\/\">get started<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The OpenLab has also been created for the SPS community by a team that includes and depends on SPS faculty, staff, and current and former students.
