Sign up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. Go to the OpenLab homepage<\/a>, and click Sign up<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Enter your CUNY login ID and password.<\/p>\n\n\n

3. After logging in with your CUNY credentials, you will be redirected to the OpenLab sign up page. Enter the following fields:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Username<\/strong>: You will use your username to sign in, and it will also be displayed in the URL of your public OpenLab member profile. You don’t need to use your real name. You cannot change your username after you sign up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Email address<\/strong>: This should be your CUNY SPS email address for verification, but it won\u2019t be added to your public profile<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Account type<\/strong>: Choose whether you\u2019re a student, faculty, staff, or alumni<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Name<\/strong>: This is the name that will appear on your public OpenLab profile and wherever you post on the OpenLab. Because it is public, you don’t need to use your real name or your full name. Your name can be changed at any time by editing your profile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    When you\u2019re done, click Complete Sign Up<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

    4. You\u2019ll be redirected to the OpenLab homepage, where you\u2019ll be logged in with your new account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
