This archive preserves the history, work, and contributions of the LGBTQI+ community at CUNY SPS. It documents all Pride Club events hosted during Spring 2025, celebrating the programs, conversations, and moments that strengthened our campus community. Through this collection, we honor the ongoing efforts of students, staff, and faculty who continue to build a more inclusive and affirming environment for LGBTQI+ learners at SPS.

These events were made possible through grant support that funded both programming and the LGBTQI+ Resource Coordinator role. Each gathering reflects the Pride Club’s commitment to community-building, visibility, empowerment, and the preservation of LGBTQI+ student life at SPS.

Special appreciation goes to Associate Director of Student Life Anthooney Sweeney for supervisory support, and to Jan Oolsting, Pride Club Faculty Advisor and member of the CUNY LGBTQI+ Council, for continuous guidance and advocacy. The Pride Club also acknowledges Parsh, Student Life Club and Organization Coordinator, and Elizabeth Navarro, Student Life College Assistant, for their coordination and assistance. Additional gratitude is extended to Mateo Ash Tebar, LGBTQI+ Resource Coordinator College Assistant, whose leadership and coordination played a vital role in shaping the semester’s programming.

The First Lavender Celebration Planning CommitteeParsh, Mateo Ash Tebar, Tiya Williams (Pride Club President), Armana Williams (former Pride Club President and founder), and Mikhail Snigirev (SPS student)—made invaluable contributions to establishing a historic new tradition for LGBTQI+ graduates at SPS.
