For example, you would not state \u201cFill out the user survey here:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/SAMPLE\/\">http:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/SAMPLE\/<\/a>.\u201d Rather, \u201cPlease fill out the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/SAMPLE\/\">online user survey<\/a>.\u201d This practice also ensures your <a href=\"https:\/\/accessibility.umn.edu\/core-skills\/hyperlinks\">hyperlinks are ADA accessible<\/a> by allowing screen readers to now scan for links in your course.<\/p>\n<p>To add a clickable hyperlink to text in your course, highlight the text with your mouse and click on the \u201cHyperlink\u201d icon in the toolbar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/openlab.sps.cuny.edu\/sps-faculty-community-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2019\/07\/BB-hyperlink.png?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1833\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/openlab.sps.cuny.edu\/sps-faculty-community-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2019\/07\/BB-hyperlink.png?resize=960%2C262&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"262\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/openlab.sps.cuny.edu\/sps-faculty-community-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2019\/07\/BB-hyperlink.png?w=974&amp;ssl=1 974w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/openlab.sps.cuny.edu\/sps-faculty-community-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2019\/07\/BB-hyperlink.png?resize=300%2C82&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/openlab.sps.cuny.edu\/sps-faculty-community-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2019\/07\/BB-hyperlink.png?resize=768%2C210&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the pop-up window, enter (or cut &amp; paste) the link\u2019s web address into the \u201cLink Path\u201d field. Under \u201cTarget,\u201d click on drop-down to select \u201cOpen in New Window. Then, enter a title.
