The export course feature doesn&#8217;t include any users or user interactions with the course.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>archive <\/strong>course feature creates a frozen snapshot or permanent record of your course. An archive includes all the content, course statistics, users, and course interactions, such as blog posts, discussions, attendance data, and grades.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Blackboard Collaborate recordings are not included in course exports\/archives. Please see below for information on downloading Collaborate recordings you may wish to retain.<\/p>\n\n\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Course archives or recordings containing student data should not be stored on non-CUNY devices or storage platforms, as they are subject to university and federal <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cuny.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/page-assets\/about\/administration\/offices\/cis\/it-policies\/CUNY-Acceptable-Use-of-University-Data-in-the-Cloud-Standard.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">data, privacy, and security policies<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. CUNY CIS will maintain course archives as required by university policy and by applicable law.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"exporting\"><strong>Exporting a Course<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to the course that you would like to export. Under Course Management, go to <strong>Course Management<\/strong> &#8211;&gt; <strong>Packages and Utilities, Export\/Archive course<\/strong>. There should now be a downloadable package of your course. These files can be imported into Brightspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"archiving\"><strong>Archiving a Course<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to the course that you would like to export. Under Course Management, go to <strong>Course Management<\/strong> &#8211;&gt; <strong>Packages and Utilities, Export\/Archive course<\/strong>. Use the Search your courses or Terms tools to filter for a specific semester. Select Download from the drop-down menu. The recording will automatically begin downloading within the browser and be saved in your device\u2019s download folder.
