Introduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This guide helps users customize their Brightspace home page for better accessibility and organization. Read on for tips on the My Courses widget, pinning courses, and collapsing widgets for easier viewing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

1. My Courses Widget<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

View  Semester Courses<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. On your College Home Page, scroll down to the My Courses<\/strong> widget.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Use the Semester Tabs<\/strong> at the top of the My Courses area to view only courses in a particular semester. Also, note that other categories, such as \u201cTraining\u201d or \u201cCompliance,\u201d are used as semester labels. Scroll horizontally <\/strong>to view additional semesters, if needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You can see icons at the bottom of each course tile indicating unread discussion posts. If you are an instructor, you can also see icons with numbers of ungraded assignments and quizzes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Pin Course Favorites<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    You can ensure quick access to your most-used courses by pinning them in My Courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Find the course you want to pin in the My Courses widget.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Hover over the course tile and click the three-dot menu<\/strong> in the top-right corner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Select Pin<\/strong> from the dropdown menu.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Pinned courses will now appear at the top of the My Courses section and in a separate semester tab labeled Pinned<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. To unpin a course, click the Pin icon in the top-right corner.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        3. Collapsing Widgets for Easier Viewing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Widgets are sections on your home page that display specific types of information (e.g. Calendar, Work To Do). Collapsing them can help streamline your view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        From the Home Page<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        1. Locate the widget you want to minimize.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Click the chevron button (usually next to the widget’s title) and select Collapse this widget<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          1. The widget will collapse into a small bar. Click the chevron again and select Expand this widget<\/strong> to expand it when needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            From Within a Course<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            1. Inside the course, navigate to the Course Home page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Find the widget you want to minimize.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            3. Follow the same steps as above to minimize or expand the widget.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
