Description: : Much of the food that City Harvest procures through partnerships with farmers, wholesalers, or through local food drives arrives in large capacity containers, which can be challenging to distribute equitably. With the power of our volunteers, we take thousands of pounds of produce and repack it from large, bulk containers into smaller, family-sized units that community food programs can easily distribute.
Dress Code:
Volunteers are required to wear closed-toe shoes that cover the entire top, sides, and back of the foot (no flip flops, ballet flats, Toms, or sandals). We recommend athletic sneakers or work boots. Any volunteers wearing inappropriate shoes will not be able to take part in the project.
