Trip to Sikh Temple – Shri Guru Ravidass Temple of New York City (In Person) – Club Fair

The South Asian Student Union invites you to explore the Sikh faith by visiting a Gurdwara in the heart of Queens. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the various religions within the South Asian community, address stereotypes, and provide an opportunity to educate students and the broader community about the different faiths that are prominent in South Asia.
We will begin by visiting a Gurdwara, offering a unique chance to observe the community, enjoy a delicious “langar” (a vegetarian meal), and have any questions answered. The trip will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. All students and their guests are welcome. Please ensure that all guests are registered below.
Please plan to arrive outside the Gurdwara by 11:30 AM for check-in. Note that everyone must wear fully covered clothing, including pants, and bring a head covering, such as a bandanna. The Gurdwara will provide bandannas if needed. You will also be asked to remove your shoes, so please be prepared to wear socks or go barefoot while inside the Gurudwara. Lastly, if you wish to bring your own lunch, it must be vegetarian, as no meat products are allowed within the Gurudwara.
