Who can build a Site?

Any faculty, staff, or student can create a site as part of a Campus Resource (faculty and staff only), Student Organization, or Portfolio.  The individual who creates the site will be that site’s Administrator and in charge of creating and managing the site content and site functions.

1. To create a site for a Campus Resource or Student Organization, log in to the OpenLab and click My Profile in the main menu.

2. On the following screen, choose the appropriate right-hand menu item for which you would like to create a site (i.e., My Campus ResourcesMy Student Organizations). At the top of the page, choose + Create / Clone.

3. After you have finished step 1 of campus resource or student organization creation, at the top of step 2 you will be given the option of creating a site.  To create a new site, check the box next to Set up a site?. For more detailed information, go to the help for creating a Campus Resource or Student Organization.

3. Enter the address of your new site.

You can also choose to use an existing site if you have one (if you do not this option will not appear) or use an external site not hosted on the OpenLab.

4. Click Create and Continue.
