Please take a moment to reflect on your experience with the workshop. A reflection prompt is available on the Discussions page.
OER in Tenure and Promotion
The OER in Tenure and Promotion resource from the DOERS3 Collaborative is an excellent document explaining how to frame your OER and Open Pedagogy work for your faculty profile, whether for tenure and promotion or in the job search process.
Workshop Follow-Up
Now that you have ideas and resources for how to improve DEIA through OER and Open Pedagogy, consider the following as potential additional next steps and as ways of highlighting this work in your academic portfolio:
- Present your revised syllabus, approaches, or lesson plans to your Academic Director, as a proposal for inclusion in your SPS course
- Share your experience of implementing your DEIA improvements in a future OER/DEIA workshop
- Present at the CUNY SPS Open Showcase (keep an eye out for details in the SPS Faculty Newsletter!)
- Present at the annual CUNY OER Showcase (dates TBA)
- Consider attending the Northeast OER Summit
- Consider submitting an article about your DEIA/OER/Open Pedagogy approach(es) to the Journal of Interactive Technology and Pedagogy‘s short-form sections “Assignments” or “Teaching Fails” (rolling submissions)
Keep Active in the Broader OER and Open Pedagogy Community
