Portfolio: Matt Lewis’s Portfolio

Matt Lewis has been an educator for a couple decades now. He started as an English as a Second Language teacher in Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and Turkey where he taught academic English at the university level. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, a Master’s degree in Instructional Design and professional certifications in video production, performance, and storytelling. Since 2008, he’s held instructional design roles at Elon University, Mercy College, and CUNY School of Professional Studies. Over the years, Matt has led a wide variety of teaching and learning projects, course designs, and faculty development trainings and workshops in higher education contexts. He has led projects to create Open Educational Resources, integrate ePortfolios as high-impact practice, source and implement new instructional technology tools, and produce interactive, instructional video. In 2019, he joined CUNY SPS to support media development and manage the Media Studio within the Office of Faculty Development and Instructional Technology.
