Mission Statement The Office of Student Life at the CUNY School of Professional Studies provides our rich and diverse student population with accessible co-curricular and academic enrichment opportunities to develop their educational goals, leadership skills, and community engagement beyond the classroom. Vision Statement The Office of Student Life envisions a vibrant community here at CUNY SPS where every student is empowered to explore diverse interests and develop skills that complements their academic journeys. Through active participation in student governance, mentoring, and volunteer programs, students attain leadership and professional skills. Student clubs focused on advocacy, affinity, arts, and recreation provide students the opportunity to explore their academic interests outside of the classroom. All activities sponsored by the Office of Student Life are open to current students without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or citizenship. Student Organizations
Where reflection meets action! The Social Impact & Activism Club is a student-led community dedicated to driving awareness, advocacy, and change across CUNY and beyond. We create a space for students to explore critical issues from disability and youth rights to housing justice, environmental sustainability, mental health, and civic engagement. While developing the leadership and advocacy skills needed to create meaningful impact. Our mission is to empower students to become changemakers by combining education, creativity, and community organizing. Whether through workshops, speaker events, art exhibits, or debates, we use collective voices to challenge inequities and inspire progress.
