Spring 2026 Opening Letter from the Editor-in-Chief
Greetings SPS Students,
I am super excited about this new semester. It is a sign that we are that much closer to earning our degrees. That goes for new students as well. Congratulations on “Achiev[ing] your dreams” here at CUNY SPS!
The Kiosk is making big strides. First, please welcome our new social media intern, Jessica Barnes. You can learn more about her from her introduction letter. Next, be on the lookout for invites to attend workshops geared to help students better utilize The Kiosk. The first workshop will be in collaboration with the Management and Entrepreneur Leadership Organization (MELO) and led by Business professors as a segue to our new Business Buzz section. (The Kiosk welcomes collaborations.) In addition to Business Buzz, we will also have a Poetry Corner. We give credit to Business student J. Antonio for the Poetry Corner idea. (The Kiosk welcomes suggestions.) Future workshops led by author Katina Paron will be geared toward making us better journalistic writers.
Lastly, please see our first articles of the semester. Writing Against the Clock is an endearing and relevant story written by Communications & Media Studies student Diana Rosado (#teaser). Also take a look at 2025 Reflections written by yours truly. If you would like to share your 2025 reflections, or any other original writing, let it be your first article of the semester (#nudge).

Happy studies!
