Interested in refining your article writing skills? We invite you to join the second event in our Fall 2023 Journalism Workshop Series, “Writing a Better Article.”
The Kiosk is holding a series of journalism workshops hosted by professionals to teach aspiring student journalists, writers, and photographers how to write stories and take on multimedia projects. Throughout the workshops, students will also have the chance to pitch their own stories to us—though, of course, we’re always open to hearing your ideas!
The fall 2023 workshops will be hosted by journalism educator and Dateline: CUNY editor Katina Paron, author of “A NewsHound’s Guide to Student Journalism.”
Workshop 2: Writing a Better Article
This workshop will dig deep into how to write a better journalism article. The focus will be on finding the right sources, leads, nut graphs, working with quotes and incorporating background and statistics.
