Student Organization: Literary Arts & Publishing Society

The CUNY SPS Literary Arts & Publishing Society (LAPS) is a creative community where stories are discovered, voices are cultivated, and ideas find their way from imagination to the page—and beyond. We welcome writers, poets, readers, editors, aspiring publishers, and anyone who believes in the power of the written word.

Through writing workshops, literary showcases, publishing opportunities, author discussions, collaborative projects, and our student-led publications, LAPS provides members with opportunities to develop their craft, share their work, explore the publishing world, and connect with fellow creatives.

Whether you are an experienced writer, discovering your voice for the first time, or simply passionate about literature, there is a place for you here. Every voice has a story. Every story deserves the opportunity to be heard.

Write. Create. Publish. Belong.
