The CUNY SPS Creative Writing Club is a welcoming space for students who love storytelling, poetry, creativity, and self-expression. Whether you are an experienced writer or just beginning your creative journey, our club offers a safe and supportive environment where every voice matters.
Each month, members come together to respond to writing prompts, share ideas, strengthen their writing skills, and connect through creativity. We celebrate all forms of writing, including short stories, poetry, personal essays, scripts, and more.
Our goal is to build a vibrant community where imagination has no limits, students feel empowered to express themselves, and writers can grow together.
Club activities include:
Poetry slams
Short story contests
Creative writing prompts
Open discussions on meaningful topics
Opportunities to share and showcase student work
Join us and become part of a creative community where your words, ideas, and stories matter.

Our Mission: The Management and Entrepreneur Leadership Organization (MELO) was created by the former Academic Director of online business programs, Dr. Edwin Knox. This organization allows students to learn and engage in entrepreneurial thought for managing and starting a business. In addition, MELO focuses on understanding what management is and how important it is for leading an organization effectively. Students joining MELO will get an opportunity to speak with successful organization leaders and entrepreneurs, creating a long-lasting learning process. MELO is open to all undergraduate and graduate students of CUNY SPS.
