This Month’s book choice is:
Practical Magic
by Alice Hoffman
The story follows sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, who descend from a long line of witches. Due to a curse that affects their family, the women struggle to find lasting love without tragic consequences.
After growing up and living separate lives, the sisters reunite when Gillian’s abusive boyfriend dies. Turning to their eccentric aunts, the sisters use magic to deal with the curse but bring about unexpected danger. As they face the consequences of the family curse, Sally and Gillian learn that love, sisterhood, and accepting who they are may be stronger than any spell.
