Welcome to the Media Team Vault (MTV), your starting point for creating clear, engaging video for online teaching. MTV supports CUNY SPS Faculty in producing media for online, asynchronous courses. We’re here to co-produce content for your SPS online course.

The Media Team provides full service audio & video support, we will:
- Give feedback on video scripts and production design
- Create visual slides for your recording
- Add slick post-production editing and mastering to your recording
- Professionally caption/transcribe video used in SPS courses
- Publish video to Panopto, the CUNY SPS video hosting platform
Why We Do It
For CUNY SPS, teaching online & asynchronously can make it difficult to build a community. A video can go a long way to building that connection. Whether you are on camera or a voiceover, you’re contributing to the community with a human presence. If you’re hesitant, or new to media production, start small. Make a short video introducing yourself. It doesn’t have to be news anchor quality. Even a short video can build a connection with your audience. Media production is a skill, the more you try it out the better it gets.
How Can We help?
We partner with faculty to design and produce clear, effective instructional video, whether in the studio or through a remote workflow. Our team guides each project from concept to completion: refining scripts, developing visual materials, managing recording, and delivering polished, professionally captioned media ready for your course site. We aim to reduce the technical burden so you can focus on teaching, while ensuring each video strengthens presence, clarity, and connection in the online classroom.
