Launching Let’s Work It Out: the Accessibility Challenge

We are excited to kick off our Accessibility Challenge and to launch a new video series, Let’s Work It Out. The series is designed to answer questions faced by busy online instructors. The Accessibility Challenge invites participants to spend just 10 to 15 minutes each week building habits that improve access for all students.

In the first Let’s Work It Out video, Matt Lewis walks through Prompt 1 that follows a simple framework: Learn, Do, and Plan Ahead. The prompt gets us familiar with Ally, explores a course accessibility report, and takes a small but meaningful step toward future improvements. Nothing here is high-stakes. Everything here is practical.

Making sure your work is accessible to all can feel daunting. Our goal is to make it manageable—and even a little enjoyable. Think of this Challenge not as an audit, but as a conversation with your course materials.

We are glad you are here. Let’s work it out… together.

Adobe Express Essentials: Quick, High‑Quality Graphics for Your Course and Beyond

Adobe Express is available to all SPS faculty, offering a powerful way to create polished graphics, banners, flyers, and other media. This one‑hour session introduces the essentials from access to the tool, to creating a graphic and finally publishing it.  Participants will explore practical examples of classroom‑ready visuals and learn how to draw from Express’s rich library of images, templates, and AI‑generated art. We will also discuss ways to involve students, who have full access by default. The session concludes with guidance on publishing and exporting media for use in courses, collaboration with other users, and sharing to external platforms like Brightspace and OpenLab.
