In Brightspace, users are able to delete and edit discussion posts. Instructors can view threads that students deleted or edited. Instructors can use the steps below for a full view of the history of any discussion topic in their course.
View Deleted Posts
Navigate to the Discussions area and click Settings.
Check the Display deleted posts option, scroll down, and click Save.
Open the discussion thread you wish to view and you will see the deleted posts in blue. Click Show deleted thread to view the content of the deleted post.
You are now able to see threads that users have deleted.
View Discussion Post Edits
Edited posts have a pencil icon. If you hover over the icon, you can see when the last edits were made to the post.
To see what edits were made, click the arrow next to the title of the thread to open the thread menu. Select View Post History.
You will see the changes that have been made to the post under Post Changes.
