Father, brother, husband, son
To me: a Stranger
Gut punch feeling
Goosebumps
Did I say the wrong thing?
This time a kiss
Next time?
A plea to others
That can’t be true, they say
You’re so lucky! they sigh
Try harder, they deign
Slippery eel
this notion
Freedom
For when
will the quiver in your smile
slip?
Layers hidden
primordial
creeps within
Shapeshifter
changeling
camouflaged
Blind am are we?
who cannot
detect
Mother, sister, wife, daughter
To you:
another.
