One, two, three, four, five days go by
Where I am not spoken to or noticed by anyone
Oh how I long to find a friend in this cold town
Someone who will play games with me and laugh
As seasons change and time goes on
I often wonder if I will ever fit in this town.
One, two three, four, and five years go by
I finally have a friend to call my own
Someone different yet the same
I am no longer the invisible girl
I am the visible girl
The one who goes on vacations with her friend
As seasons change, so does my perspective on life
As I walk in these cold streets,
I start to realize that we are not alone in this life
There is always someone there
To catch you when you fall.
Context: I wrote this poem based on a memory I remembered from when I was younger.
